NAY PYI TAW, 18 Feb —Vice-Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council of the Union of Myanmar Deputy Commander-in- Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Maung Aye hosted a dinner in honour of visiting Thai delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Royal Thai Army General Anupong Paojinda at Bayintnaung Yeiktha here yesterday evening.
It was also attended by Member of the SPDC General Thura Shwe Mann of the Ministry of Defence, Secretary-1 of the SPDC Lt-Gen Thiha Thura Tin Aung Myint Oo, member of the SPDC Lt-Gen Tin Aye of the Ministry of Defence, Commander-in- Chief (Navy) Rear- Admiral Nyan Tun, Commander-in-Chief (Air) Lt-Gen Myat Hein, Maj-Gen Min Aung Hlaing, Lt-Gen Tha Aye and Lt-Gen Khin Zaw ofthe Ministry of Defence, Adjutant-General Lt-Gen Thura Myint Aung, Lt-Gen Myint Hlaing and Lt-Gen Ye Myint of the Ministry of Defence, Commander of Nay Pyi Taw CommandMaj-Gen Wai Lwin, Minister for Foreign Affairs U Nyan Win, senior military officers, Myanmar Military Attaché to Thailand Col Win Maung, Thai Ambassador toMyanmar Mr Bansarn Bunnag, Thai Defence Attaché and Army Attaché Colonel Ekachai Harnpoonvittaya and officials.
Before and during thedinner, artistes entertained those present with songs to the accompaniment of Myanma Athan Modern Music Band.
After the dinner, Vice- Senior General MaungAye and General Anupong Paojinda exchanged gifts.
Next, Commander-in- Chief of Royal Thai Army General Anupong Paojinda cordially greeted
the artistes.
