Vice-Senior General Maung Aye and wife Daw Mya Mya San welcome Indian Vice-President, wife and party



NAY PYI TAW, 5Feb—At the invitation of Vice-Chairman of the State Peace and Development
Council of the Union of Myanmar Deputy Commander- in-Chief of Defence Services Commander- in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Maung Aye and wife Daw Mya Mya San, Vice-President Shri M. Hamid Ansari of the Republic of India and wife Shrimati Salma Ansari arrived at Nay Pyi Taw by special aircraft thisafternoon.The goodwill delegation led by Indian Vice- President Shri M. Hamid Ansari and wife were welcomedat Nay Pyi Taw Airport

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army)Vice-Senior General Maung Aye and wife Daw Mya Mya San, SPDC member General Thura Shwe Mann of the Ministry of Defence and wife Daw Khin Lay Thet, Secretary-1 Lt-Gen ThihaThura Tin Aung Myint Oo and wife Daw Khin Saw Hnin, Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command Maj- Gen Wai Lwin, ministers,senior military officers of the Ministry of Defence, Indian Ambassador Mr Aloke
Sen and wife, Indian Military Attaché Colonel Manoj Mukund Naravane and officials.
At 2.30 p.m., the special aircraft carrying the Indian Vice-President, wife and party arrived at Nay Pyi Taw Airport. Vice-Senior General Maung Aye, wife and party welcomed the Indian ice-President, wife and party. Vice-Senior General Maung Aye and the Indian Vice-President took the salute of the Guard of Honour from the dais at the airport. Next, they inspected the Guard of Honour. Afterwards, Vice- Senior General Maung Ayecordially greeted the delegation
members who accompanied the Indian Vice- President. Likewise, the Indian Vice-President cordially greeted those who accompanied Vice-Senior General Maung Aye. Later, the Indian
Vice-President, wife and party left for Nay Pyi Taw Hotel Zone in a motorcade.
