Thai delegation leaves Yangon



YANGON, 18 Feb— The goodwill Thai delegationled by General Anupong Paojinda, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, arrived here from Nay Pyi Taw by special flight today.

The delegation, accompanied by Brig-Gen Maung Maung Ohn, Thai Ambassador to Myanmar
Mr Bansarn Bunnag and Thai Defence Attaché and Army Attaché Colonel Ekachai Harnpoonvittaya, was welcomed by Chairman of Yangon Division Peace and Development Council Commander of Yangon Command Brig-Gen Win Myint, military officers and officials concerned at the Yangon International Airport.

The delegation paid homage to Lawka Chantha Abhaya Labha Muni Buddha Image on Mindamma Hill in Insein Township and viewed white elephants at White Elephant Garden.The delegation also visited Shwedagon Pagoda and Thira Mingala Kaba Aye Pagoda.

Later, the delegation left Yangon by special flight in the evening. They were seen off by the commander, military officers and officials concerned at the Yangon International Airport.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army was here at the invitation of Vice-Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services
Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Maung Aye.
