Development work facilitated in Putao Township


NAY PYI TAW, 22 Feb—Efforts should be made to complete the new P u t a o - M a n s e k h u n - Ziyadan road before the onset of open season in accord with the Head of State’s guidance, said Maj-Gen Ohn Myint of the Ministry of Defence during his visit to upper Hsangaung village in Putao Township on 16 February. Officials briefed him on the situation of the new Putao-Mansekhun- Ziyadan road and the existing Putao- Hsangaung-Ziyadan road at the village near Pataik creek. Chairman of Kachin State Peace and Development Council Commander of Northern Command Brig Gen Soe Win gave a supplementary report. At the postprimary school of the village, Maj-Gen Ohn Myint met with teachers, Development work facilitated in Putao Township local elders and local people. He then inspected generating electricity with hydropower from Pataik creek to supply power to the village. He held meetings with teachers, local elders and local people at middle school in lower Hsangaung village and at the primary school in Monngul village.
Maj-Gen Ohn Myint’s inspection tour also included a 250-feet suspension bridge linking Dagushiza and Nantbauk
villages in Putao Township and another suspension bridge linking Dagushiza and Mansay village. At Hokho ward in Putao, he facilitated the work of harnessing Nankhanti creek to generate power. He also inspected the durability of a bridge on Lonhsot creek.
