NAY PYI TAW, 31 Aug— A ceremony to honour athletes who are to take part in the 13th Inter
State and Division U- 15 Football Tournament was held at the Mon State Hall in Mawlamyine, Mon State yesterday morning.

Myint attened the ceremony and made speeches.
Next, the minister presented sport gear for athletes in ten townships of Mon State and seven
townships of Kayin State and sport equipment worth K 600,000 for footballers of three football
teams of Mon and Kayin States and cash for coaches.
Under the youth football development, football gear worth K 1.4 million for Mon and Kayin State and cash for coaches were provided and sports equipment worth over K 1.6 million for the state and township sports and physical education committees
of Mon and Kayin State were provided.
Later, the 13th Inter State and Division U-15 Football Tournament took place at the Mon State Sports Ground in Mawlamyine at 3 pm. Next, Commander Maj-Gen Thet Naing Win and Chairman of Kayin State Peace and Development Council Brig-Gen Zaw Min presented K
100,000 each and Hometauk Construction Co K 20,000 each to 16 football teams.
In the first match, Mon State beat Taninthayi Division 2-0.
