PPE organizes Waso robe offering ceremony in Nay Pyi Taw Tatkon

NAY PYI TAW, 17 July — Under the aegis of Minister for Information Brig-Gen Kyaw Hsan and wife Daw Kyi Kyi Win, Printing and Publishing Enterprise held the first Waso robe offering ceremony at Kyaungthit Monastery in Saya San Ward of Nay Pyi Taw Tatkon this morning.

It was attended by Minister for Information Brig-Gen Kyaw Hsan, Director-General U Chit Naing of Information and Public Relations Department, Managing Director U Aung Nyein of PPE and wife, Managing Director U Soe Win of News and Periodicals Enterprise, Managing Director U Aung Myo Myint of Myanma Motion Picture Enterprise, officials and staff families.
Sayadaw Bhaddanta Kumara administered the Nine Precepts, and members of the Sangha recited Parittas.
The minister and those present offered Waso robes and alms to members of the Sangha and shared the merits gained. Later, the minister and the congregation offered day meal to the members of the Sangha.
