MNPED staff families offer Waso robes to Buddhist monks

NAY PYI TAW, 17 July—Under the patronage of Minister for National Planning and Economic Development U Soe Tha and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Win, the second Waso robes offering ceremony of the ministry was held at the Ministry here this morning.
Minister U Soe Tha and wife and congregation received the Five Precepts from Sayadaw Bhaddanta Samvara of Letiaung Monastery in Nay Pyi Taw Pyinmana.
Next, the Sayadaw and members of the Sangha delivered a sermon and recited parittas. The minister and party offered Waso robes and provisions to the monks. Later, ‘soon’ a day meal was offered to the monks.
