Health care service provided in Labutta

YANGON, 6 July—Under the arrangement of the Ministry of Health, volunteer medical teams are providing health care service in the storm-affected areas. Medical Cover Teams from
Shwegondine clinic and Pinlaung clinic have been giving medical treatment to the storm survivors in Labutta since 3 June. Medical team No. 1 comprising 9 doctors and nurses altogether 19 led by Dr Daw Htay Htay Kyi, based in Hlinephone village and Phonegyigon village, gave medical treatment to the storm victims from 3 June to 10 June. They also donated books to the school library, gave nutritious food to the students, made medical check up and gave health educative talks. They gave medical treatment with the use of advanced medical equipment such as ECG machine and oxygen machine and transferred patients to Township Hospitals for further treatment by specialists and donated cash assistance to the patients.
