The School Family Day for 2008-09 academic year of the Ministry of Education was launched
at No. 1 Basic Education High School in Nay Pyi Taw this morning, attended by Commander of
Nay Pyi Taw Command Maj-Gen Wai Lwin.First, 14 outstanding students representing
States and Divisions formally opened the ceremony.The commander and party visited the booth on education development and enjoyed the musical entertainment of the basic education students. Students of No. 3 Basic Education Department and Nay Pyi Taw BEHS No. 1
performed dances and songs entertainments to the guests.Later, gold medalist students of No. 3 BED demonstrated their skills in Wushu sport.Also present on the occasion were ministers,
deputy ministers, members of the school board of trustees, departmental heads, school heads,
teachers, students and guests.The School Family Day will continue up to 3 January 2009.
