YANGON, 15 Jan —Opening ceremonies of new school buildings in place of old ones that had
been damaged by storm Nargis were held in Thanlyin and Kyauktan townships this morning.
At Htanhnapin Basic Education Primary School in South Myoma Ward of Thanlyin Township
,Lt-Gen Myint Swe of the Ministry of Defence, Chairman of Yangon Division Peace and Development Council Commander of Yangon Command Brig- Gen Win Myint and the
managing director ofShwetaung Develop-ment Co Ltd formally opened the new school building. After presenting exercise books, pencils and ball-pens, Lt-Gen Myint Swe, the commander and the chairman of the company visited the new school building.A similar ceremony was held at Seikkyi BEMS in Seikkyi Village of Thanlyin Township.
