Chairman of Rakhine State Peace and Development Council Commander of Western Command Maj-Gen Thaung Aye and Minister for Transport Maj-Gen Thein Swe viewed free treatment being provided to eye patients of Kyaukpyu District by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Transport,Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation and social organizations at Kyaukpyu General Hospital (100-bed) in Kyaukpyu on 5 January.The medical team comprising 23 doctors and nurses, the technician of AICON Co, Rakhine State Patients of Kyaukpyu receive free eye treatment eye specialist Dr Moe Kyaw, doctors, nurses and health staff from Kyaukpyu Hospital, led by Head of Administration Department of MWAF Dr Daw Khin Hsan Nwe, Head of Discipline Department Daw Mya Theingi, eye specialists Professor Dr Kan Nyunt, Prof Dr Nyunt Aung and specialist Dr Nilar Thein, participated in the free treatment.They gave free treatment to 1,302 eye patients on 5 January with the contribution of K 1 million by MWAF and medicines and other cost by Golden Wax Co Ltd and with the assistance of the Ministry of Transport, Rakhine State WAO and Rakhine State Maternal and Child Welfare Supervisory Committee,social organizations, Head of Rakhine State Health Department Dr Cho Tun and officials.Thursday, January 8, 2009
