YANGON, 8 Jan—Minister for Industry-2 Maj-Gen Saw Lwin together with Director-General U Khin Maung of the Directorate of Myanma Industrial Planning and departmental officials visited No 1 Automobile Factory on Inya Lake Hotel Road in Mayangon Township, here yesterday afternoon.
At the workshop, the minister inspected productionof frames and bodies of 6.5-ton TE trucks and TE water tankers, assembling process of vehicles and assembled ones. On arrival at the forging shop, he looked into the production of body for Mazda Jeeps.
The minister was conducted round the factory by Managing Director of Myanma Automobile and Diesel Engine Industries U Hla Myint Thein and Factory General Manager U Hlaing Thein.
The minister called for efforts to meet the targeted number of automobiles, quality control, meeting the set standards, minimizing the costs, and operation of the machines at full capacity.
