Panhsay Militia (Local) Group in Namhkam Township, Shan State (North), was set up as an organization on 21 May 1975 to combat insurgents. Later, it was reorganized as the anti-insurgent organization. Then, it was reconstituted as Panhsay Militia (Local) on 29 October 2001.
Our group joined the Tatmadaw and fought against insurgents inside and outside the country in the past. Now, with the leadership of the Tatmadaw, it is taking cooperative measures in the drive for the regional development and security of Panhsay.
Our group totally opposes one of the points in the statement the National League for Democracy released on 12 November 2007 that it represented the affairs of all national races.
With the leadership of the Tatmadaw, Leshaw national race and other national races residing in Panhsay upholding Our Three Main National Causes, we hereby announce that we will steadfastly participate in the drive for realization of the seven-step of Road Map.
