Upgrading of Myitkyina-Sumprabum- Putao road section in progress

NAY PYI TAW, 25 Feb—Maj-Gen Ohn Myint of the Ministry of Defence, accompanied by Chairman of Kachin State Peace and Development Council Commander of Northern Command Brig-Gen Soe Win, on 18 February inspected the People’s Hospital in Sumprabum Township. At the hospital, the commander presented cash assistance to patients and donated medicines and cash for the hospital. Afterwards, Maj-Gen Ohn Myint met with departmental officials at the meeting hall of Sumprabum Township General Administration Department and he also met with teachers at Basic Education High School in Sumprabum Township.
Maj-Gen Ohn Myint inspected repairing of Myitkyina-Sumprabum-Putao road section at mile post No. 128/2 and No.107/ 6. Afterwards, Maj-Gen Ohn Myint met with teachers and nurses in Khatkayan village. At the briefing hall of mile post No. 53 in Teyanzwat village, Maj-Gen Ohn Myint and the commander met with teachers, nurses and townselders. And they also inspected upgrading of the road between mile post No. 0/0 and No. 53/0, being conducted by Public Works of Myitkyina District.
On arrival at the confluence of Maykha and Malikha rivers near Tanphe village in Myitkyina Township, they inspected flow of the river water and greening of its environment.
