NAY PYI TAW, 20 Dec — Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Than Shwe accompanied by Chairman of Mandalay Division PDC Commander of Central Command Brig- Gen Tin Ngwe and officials visited Maha Arnt Htoo Kantha Pagoda in PyinOoLwin Township on 18 December evening and paid homage to Maha Arnt Htoo Kantha Buddha Image. The Senior General donated cash to the funds of the pagoda through the chairman to the Pagoda Board of Trustees. Later, the Senior General viewed prize winning works in the photo contest 2007 to mark Tazaungdine Festival of the pagoda.
